What to Expect

I respond to the unique needs of each individual, couple and family.

I listen deeply to understand your inner world of emotions and thoughts in relation to the problem(s) you bring to therapy.  

 I help structure and focus therapy work.  We work together to bring awareness to the different emotions, ideas and factors that are influencing the problem(s) at hand. 

I may suggest specific cognitive behavioral techniques to use when appropriate to your situation.

 

Children and Therapy

With children I provide developmentally   appropriate therapy. I often utilize a combination of parenting support, family therapy, play and behavioral therapies.

 

Therapy Orientation

I am most focused on your internal experience in relationship to others and the problems you face.  I utilize a mindfulness approach and draw on behavioral therapies such as Dialectical, Exposure, and Cognitive Behavioral when appropriate.
